Henderson, 33, has linked up with Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard, who is head coach of Al-Ettifaq, at the Saudi Pro League club’s training camp in Croatia.
Liverpool receive a £12million transfer fee as the midfielder has two years left on his contract at Anfield. – but it’s Henderson who sees the real cash.
He could make more than £100million in wages if he stays for three years in the Gulf, as he is due to make around £36 million a year – quadruple his current Premier League wage.
It makes Henderson the best-paid English player in the world – by a massive difference.
His deal is almost DOUBLE the pay packet that Marcus Rashford takes home.
Rashford signed a new deal at Manchester United and is now making £375,000-a-week.
That puts him ahead of his team-mate Jadon Sancho, who is on £350,000-a-week.
Jude Bellingham’s new salary at Real Madrid seems almost paltry by comparison, on £220,000-a-week.
