JESSE LINGARD could reportedly be handed a career lifeline despite an unsuccessful season at Nottingham Forest.
The former Manchester United star moved to the City Ground on a free transfer last summer.

The attacker rejected a chance to reunite with David Moyes and West Ham, where he had a fruitful loan spell at the end of 2022, in favour of a move to Forest.
The move has not gone to plan, as he finds himself on the fringes of the matchday squad, having only made 17 appearances in the Premier League this season.
Lingard, 30, has failed to score in the league for Steve Cooper’s side, but has netted twice and assisted twice in three EFL Cup appearances.
He will be a free agent in the summer as his contract expires, but he will reportedly not be short of offers.
According to the Daily Mail, Turkish giants Fenerbahce and clubs from the Middle East would be willing to hand the former Red Devil a contract.
The report has also suggested that relegation-threatened Leicester are “showing tentative interest” ahead of a summer swoop.
Although it is said that the Foxes will likely focus on a move for Lens star Lois Openda instead.
If Lingard were to favour a move to Turkey, he would be following in the footsteps of Dele Alli and Nathan Redmond.

The duo have spent this season at Besiktas with differing success.
Alli failed to regain his form while on loan from Everton and has picked up an injury that will rule him out for the remainder of the season following surgery.
Redmond, however, has made 21 Turkish Super Lig appearances, scoring five goals and assisting four more.
