Does anyone really know their significant other? Jennifer Garner is forced to confront this question in her upcoming series “The Last Thing He Told Me” when her character’s husband suddenly goes missing. In the official trailer, released on March 9, Garner finds herself in charge of protecting her stepdaughter (Angourie Rice), left with only mysterious clues like a note that reads “protect her,” and questioning everything she knows about her marriage.
Garner’s latest project is based on the massively popular New York Times bestseller of the same name. Author Laura Dave created and adapted the series alongside Josh Singer, and both are executive producers with Garner and Hello Sunshine’s Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter. It’s the latest venture from Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, which is also behind major book-to-screen projects like “Daisy Jones & The Six” and “Where the Crawdads Sing.”
