Jamie Foxx has updated fans with a career announcement months after a health scare that resulted in his hospitalisation.
On Instagram, the 55-year-old actor posted a teaser clip for his next project, a Netflix movie titled They Cloned Tyrone, set for release on July 21.
The R-rated sci-fi comedy, in which the Oscar-winning actor stars alongside John Boyega and Teyonah Parris – was initially expected to hit screens at the end of 2022, but was delayed for unspecified reasons.
The delay didn’t seem to faze Foxx, who captioned his post, “It’s about to go down.”

According to the official blurb, the film follows an unlikely trio (played by Boyega, Parris and Foxx) who experience a “a series of eerie events” that thrusts them “onto the trail of a nefarious government conspiracy.
The post comes two months after Foxx was hospitalised in Georgia, USA after a “medical complication” in April.
The star was reportedly working on Netflix film Back in Action at the time of the incident.
Despite no official reports on the star’s condition, two weeks ago boxing legend Mike Tyson let slip that the Oscar-winning actor suffered from a stroke
Tyson, 56, who has been planning a biopic starring Foxx, reportedly said, “He’s not feeling well. They said a stroke. I have no idea what happened to him.”

Prior to Tyson’s comment, Foxx’s eldest daughter Corinne revealed her father was rushed to hospital over a “medical complication” but gave minimal details.
Most recently, Foxx’s rep was forced to shut down rumours the star’s health issue was caused by a COVID-19 vaccine.
