Ex-Disney actor Paul will look to use the former UFC star as a stepping stone back to the win column following defeat in his February grudge match with Tommy Fury.
Diaz, meanwhile, will look to make himself an even more lucrative free agent by handing The Problem Child his second straight defeat.
MMA legend Diaz is expected to receive the biggest purse of his entire combat sports career for his clash with Paul.
But his career earnings and net worth are understood to pale in comparison to his rival’s.
What is Jake Paul’s net worth
According to Forbes, social media sensation Paul, 26, is worth just shy of £30million ($38m).
Paul amassed the majority of his wealth through YouTube and other social media platforms long before he set foot inside a boxing ring.
But he’s said to have pocketed numerous seven-figure purses since lacing up the gloves, with reports claiming he earned more than eight figures for his Saudi showdown with Fury.

Diaz’s net worth, meanwhile, is said to be just over £6million ($8m).
Almost the entirety of Stockton slugger’s net worth has been amassed from his 15-year UFC career, where he took part in some of the biggest fights in the sport’s history.
Although his business ventures outside of fighting have also help top up his overall worth.
Diaz, 38, took part in one of the biggest fights in UFC history in the summer of 2016 – a rematch with Conor McGregor.
The fan favourite banked a cool guaranteed purse of £1.5million ($2m) for his majority decision defeat to The Notorious.
But his overall purse would have been topped up by his respective cut of the global sales for the pay-per-view – which generated 1,650,000 buys.
Paul goes into his clash with Diaz with KOs of former UFC stars Ben Askren and Tyron Woodley on his resume.
And he plans to add Diaz’s name to that list in brutal fashion, telling TMZ: “The lion lost.
“I’ve retreated back into the jungle, I took notes of everything.
“I got better, I trained, and now this lion is going to come out and maul this dude.
And he’s gonna have to pay—he’s gonna have to pay for all this hard work, all this sacrifice I’ve made in this camp.”
