Despite ‘Iron Mike’ being thirty years Paul’s senior, he will still surely enter the ring as overwhelming favourite to win the bout.

The former undisputed and lineal heavyweight champ retains a fearsome physique and good level of physical fitness.

He last fought in 2020 against Roy Jones Jr with both coming out of retirement.

Paul meanwhile is coming off the back of two fights against two relative unknowns in the form of Andre August and Ryan Bourland – both of which he dispatched by TKO in the first round.

Tyson comes into this fight as a 57-year-old, but will be 58 by the time the fight comes around in July.

If this fight were to have taken place in Tyson’s prime there wouldn’t even be a debate as to who will end up as the winner.

But at 27, Paul should in theory be in his physical prime as a boxer.

It’s the only factor that makes this matchup interesting for the time being.

Record

Iron Mike was one of the most prodigious talents in boxing history.

After winning his first 19 bouts by knockout he would go on to become undisputed heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990.

Tyson was just 20 years, 4 months, and 22 days old when he won his first heavyweight title, a record that has still never been beaten.

His overall record consists of 50 wins and six losses, with 44 of his wins coming by knockout.

Paul meanwhile, started off in the world of YouTube has a professional record of nine wins and one loss.

He has beaten several big names in MMA such as Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva and Nate Diaz.

His one professional loss came against Tommy Fury.

Physical

Tyson was simultaneously one of the shortest heavyweight champions of all time and one of the most impressive phyically – with his ability to pack on muscle key to his explosiveness.

He weighs in as 15st 7lb at 5ft10, compared to Paul’s 14st 2lb at 6ft1 in height.

Paul reps an impressively muscular frame and has undergone several body transformations.

Tyson meanwhile remains in frightening shape for his age and recently posted a picture of him topless with the caption “still got it”.

Instagram Followers

Testament to pioneering influencer boxing, Paul has mastered the art of the follower – boasting 26m of them on Instagram.

That’s seen him garner 24.2m followers, but it still pales in comparison to ‘The Problem Child’.

Net worth

Tyson has a reported net worth of £7.8m despite earning £235m over the course of his career.

In August 2003 he filed for bankruptcy and was reportedly £20m in debt.

He has since re-earned his cash through investments in various businesses and hosting a podcast named Hotboxin’ With Mike Tyson.

Paul meanwhile is a social media mogul, with a reported net worth of £31m.

He was one of the first true YouTube stars alongside his brother Logan Paul.

The brothers have since divulged from YouTube to make their money through real estate and business investments – such as in the energy drink Prime.
