Jake Paul says brother Logan LIED about turning down Mike Tyson fight and reveals who was first choice for Netflix bout

JAKE PAUL has hit back after brother Logan claimed he was offered to fight Mike Tyson first.

The YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake and heavyweight icon Tyson are due to collide on July 20 in Texas in what will be Netflix’s debut to live boxing.

Arch rival KSI has been among one of the heaviest critics of the controversial clash due to the 30-year age gap.

And KSI voiced this on the latest Jake’s brother Logan’s Impaulsive podcast.

But Logan said: “For both Mike and Jake, the bag. Like at one point, you can’t, I don’t know if you can say no.

“I said no to fighting Mike Tyson. I was offered, yeah I was offered it, but not on Netflix and not for a big ass bag.

“It was just like an, ‘Oh, this could be a real fight.’ Because I’ve been asked before, I’m sure you have too, ‘Do you think you could beat Mike Tyson?’

“And my answer was and will be, ‘Yes.’ I just think he’s too old, bro. He’s senile.”

Logan, 28, was linked with facing Tyson, 57, after the boxing icon made his shock comeback in 2020 for an exhibition with Roy Jones Jr.

And while on a stream with Adin Ross, Jake was played back Logan’s comments about turning down a deal with Iron Mike.

The younger Paul brother said: “Yeah, which is also not true. We’re the ones that brought the deal to Mike Tyson.

“So I don’t know why he would say that. Me and Most Valuable Promotions and my partner Nakisa struck a deal with Netflix and then went to other fighters to get them involved.

“It started with Tommy Fury, he wanted more money and there wasn’t more money.

“Then we went to Mike Tyson and after like months of talking, got him to be down to fight.

“And so Mike Tyson wasn’t offering people deals. So I don’t know what he’s talking about.”

Jake, 27, suffered his first and so far only defeat to Fury, 24, in February 2023 but he has won his last three since then.

Meanwhile, Tyson is yet to return since drawing over eight spectacle rounds with fellow American great Jones four years ago.
