In an article in Insider, the full-time traveller share her top packing hacks, including the three items that always make their way into her suitcase.
While items like universal adapters and packing cubes come to mind, one of Claire’s essentials is actually a household item.
Claire revealed that she always packs laundry sheets into her luggage.
She said: “It almost looks like paper, but it’s laundry soap on a sheet.
“They’re really good and they smell nice, so you can put them in your backpack and it makes it smell nice in there as well.”
Laundry sheets can be purchased for as little as £3.50 from a number of supermarket chains.
Other items the full-time traveller makes sure she always has in her backpack, include a water bottle, with a built-in filter, and clothes that don’t crease.
But Claire isn’t the only travel expert who recommends taking laundry sheets away on holiday.
MightyMamaBear is another blogger who recently shared some of her top travel advice, including how to help keep your clothes smelling fresh.
The mum blogger suggested packing laundry sheets into suitcases to give them a fresh smell.
She said: “Dryer sheets are made of lubricants, softeners, and fragrances that make the fabric comprising your luggage box smell of freshly done laundry.
“When your luggage is exposed to heat, the aromas are released into the surrounding air.
“Remember that you can also use the dryer sheets in serviced apartments or motels to make the bedding and your indoor air smell fresh.”
Meanwhile, one flight attendant follows these five packing tips to make their holiday preparation much easier.
