THERE’S a tiny holiday resort in Turkey that has crystal-clear waters and remains largely undiscovered by tourists.
Seaside towns in Turkey can get very crowded, but there are still some secluded spots where holidaymakers can relax in peace.

One of those is Kaş, a tiny holiday resort that’s praised by travel experts.
In an article in the Guardian, travel writer Annabelle Thorpe revealed that she’d been holidaying in the Turkish seaside town of Kaş for nearly 30 years, first visiting in 1994/
Calling it the “jewel of the Turquoise Coast,” she explained: “
She wrote: “When I first visited [Turkey] in 1994, Kalkan was still small, and Kaş – half an hour’s drive away along the vertiginously beautiful coastal road – was the bigger, livelier sibling.
“In those days, Kaş was where you went for a proper night out.”
Since her first trip to Kaş, Annabelle explained how she’d often return to the resort for “a properly Turkish break.”
She added: “Staying on the peninsula offers a real sense of peace and escape, although the lack of any bus service means relying on taxis.
Turkish travel bloggers Duygu and Bilgehan have also been blown away by Kaş.
On their website, Biz Evde Yokuz, they wrote: “If you are looking for a hip but not commercialised, cool but not snobby, refined but also cosy beach vacation in Turkey, Antalya’s charming beach town of Kas is the place.”
Kaş is a seaside town found on the Mediterranean coast in southwest Turkey.
The weather there rarely drops below 16C, even in December and January, and regularly reaches 32C in the summer.
The best time to go is between April to June, and September to November, when the heat isn’t as intense.
It’ll come as no surprise that there are several beaches dotted along this Turkish coastal town.
One of those is Kaputas Beach, which has been described as one of the “most beautiful beaches” in the Med with golden sand, although you’ll have to brave the 187 steps down to the bay.
During the summer months, beachgoers can rent out parasols and sunloungers for a small fee.
There are other facilities too including showers, toilets, changing rooms, and a small snack bar.
Other nearby beaches include Big Pebble Beach and Blanca Beach.
As well as the beaches, there are cultural attractions in Kaş too including the Antiphellos Theatre, the Lion’s Tomb (a 4th-century sarcophagus) and Tuğra Art Gallery.
Holidaymakers can also visit the nearby Greek island of Kastellorizo, which is home to the Blue Cave.
Meanwhile, Sun Online Travel recently visited the “St Tropez of Turkey“, which is loved by celebs and beach nightclubs.
And, these deals to other Mediterranean destinations could also save you money.
What else do I need to know about Kaş?
Brit holidaymakers will need to fly to either Dalaman Airport or Antalya Airport, with both TUI and easyJet operating direct flights to Dalaman from £38.
Both airports are around a three-hour drive from Kaş.
While most hotel staff will speak English, the local language is Turkish.
There is a two-hour time difference, with the UK two hours behind.
The currency is the Turkish Lira with £10 being the equivalent of 343.94 Turkish Lira.
