‘It’s so corny’: Chrissy Teigen’s thoughts on her and John Legend’s vow renewal

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have revisited their wedding location to celebrate their 10th anniversary.

The couple renewed their vows in Lake Como, Italy, but it seems that maybe wasn’t the original plan.

Teigen shared an Instagram post featuring several photos of her in a gorgeous silver mini dress, plus a screenshot of a text conversation between her and an unnamed friend.

“Oh my gosh you are saying new vowels to each other tonight?!” reads the text to Teigen from actress Brooklyn Decker.

“Not realllllly!!?” she responded, “Like we do NOT want a cow [vow] renewal it’s so corny but that’s what it’s sounding like isn’t it LOL.”

Her friend then confirmed, “It’s 100% a vow renewal.”

The couple originally tied the knot on September 14, 2013, after meeting on the set of the music video for Legend’s single Stereo

A source told People the vow renewal was a “very elegant, very classic event.”

“It was very romantic, they arrived by boat… it was breathtaking to see them still so happy together,” the source continued.

They explained the couple came out onto a balcony to greet guests, and that Legend treated guests to a brief speech after dinner.

Teigen and Legend share four children together, Luna, seven, Miles, five, Esti, nine months, and Wren, two months.

The couple welcomed their youngest just five months after Teigen gave birth to Esti.

They announced the arrival of son Wren Alexander Stephens via social media, sharing the story behind his arrival via a surrogate following the loss of their son, Jack, due to pregnancy complications in 2021.

“For as long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted four children,” Teigen began the emotional post, telling fans she’d always played with four dolls as a little girl.

“After losing Jack, I didn’t think I’d be able to carry any more babies on my own,” she continued.

“During that time … one clear memory is being surrounded by people who wanted to make sure I wouldn’t go through that pain and loss again.”

Teigen, who wrote an essay in 2020 about her experience with losing their son Jack, added a note to him in closing her emotional message.

“Our hearts, and our home, are officially full,” Teigen wrote, adding: “And to our Jack, we know both their angel kisses are from you.
