The right-back has been a regular under new manager Erik ten Hag, having played 22 times in all competitions.
He has been the preferred option to Aaron Wan-Bissaka and has become the first-choice player at the club this season.
Dalot has now confirmed that he is in discussions with the club over a new contract.
The Portuguese defender said: “I think we are in the position to say we are talking about it.
“We are negotiating, we are seeing how both can benefit about it.
“It’s no secret that I’m happy to be here.
“I love this club, and I love to play for this club.”
Dalot joined the club from Porto in 2018 and spent the 2020-21 season on loan at AC Milan.

The Red Devils have been linked with moves for another right-back despite Dalot’s good form.
They have reportedly scouted Lyon star Malo Gusto.
The 19-year-old established himself as Les Gones’ first-choice right-back mid-way through last season and has gained a reputation as one of Europe’s most promising full-backs.
