AMAZON Fire Stick is one of most popular TV streaming devices in the world.

Its budget price tag, ease and access to most well-known apps make the Stick a winner for most.

The Amazon Fire Stick’s closest rival is Google Chromecast.

Despite being cheap upfront, some maybe wondering if there are any monthly fees involved.

Is there a monthly fee for the Amazon Fire Stick?

The simple answer is no, there are no monthly fees for the Amazon Fire Stick – though some of the apps you use may cost.

There are plenty of free choices, such as BBC iPlayer, ITVX and Amazon Freevee.

However, don’t forget that if you use BBC iPlayer or watch any live streams you’ll need a TV licence – more on that here.

But as far as monthly fees go, the only such case on the Fire Stick would be if you’re subscribed to any premium apps.

That would include things like Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon Prime Video.

If you’re already subscribed to any of those, just download the apps and enter your login details.

Amazon Prime Video has some free content from Freevee on there.

The only other possible charge is any paid apps, though these should be clearly stated and tend to be one-off payments.

But the important thing to know is, it’s very possible to enjoy an Amazon Fire Stick without paying a penny.
