According to Down Detector, more than 430 people have reported problems with the website in the past hour.

The Sun also tried to access the website, which did not load.

People have also been complaining on X (formerly known as Twitter).

One person wrote: “What is going on with your website? I can’t login and every time I try that or to look at my upcoming booking I get an internal server error.”

Someone replied to this: “I’m having the same problem. Trying to check in for flight tomorrow. Issue is with your website.”

A third asked: “What’s wrong with your website? It’s not loading and I need to check in!”

Another wrote: “Is there something wrong with your website? I cannot check in online no matter what device I use. Error messages keep coming up with no explanation.”

Some said they had been trying “for hours” to check in while others said they had similar problems with the app.

A British Airways customer service advisor replied on Twitter: “We are currently experiencing some issues with our website.

“Our Tech team are aware of this and are doing their utmost to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.”

However, a BA spokesperson told Sun Online Travel that they were “not aware of any issues”.
