DATING app Grindr is down for users across the global in an apparent outage.
Thousands of users began complaining they could no longer log into the gay app.

So much so, many feared they had been banned.
A surge in reports was picked up by Down Detector at around 3pm UK time.
It’s not clear whether the issue is global but users across the UK, Europe and US have complained of issues.
Grindr is yet to say what’s caused the problem too.
Is Grindr down?
As of 3pm GMT on August 22, thousands of users reported that Grindr is down.
More than 1,000 reports were detected by Down Detector’s UK site.
And the US site has over 2,700.
Many have come from various countries across the world, suggesting it may be down globally.
“#grindrdown all around the world? Impossible to login,” one user said.
“The way I thought I got banned Grindr just for it to be down,” another added.
A third commented: “is grindr down, or have i been kicked off there.”
Grindr is yet to respond to user tweets on X – formerly known as Twitter.
