It appears to be a random alert as a result of a wider server issue over at Apple – but there’s a way to squash it if it’s still happening to your device.

Apple experienced a server issue on Sunday night which saw a number of the tech giant’s services affected.

Apple ID and iCloud, alongside Apple TV, Apple Music and Chat Support were hit by the outage, according to customers on social media.

People may have also had issues with purchasing anything in the App Store during this time.

Apple servers are now back up and running again, so the issues should have stopped overnight.

However, if you are still being asked to sign in with your Apple ID password constantly, you might want to turn your iPhone off and reboot it, according to experts at tech site PhoneArena.

Another suggestion is to change your Apple ID password.
