It was their goalkeepers who stole the show, though, with Hamed Behzadpour and Seyed Mirjalili scoring three times between them.

Behzadpour grabbed two goals either side of Mirjalili’s strike as Iran came back from 2-0 down.

Firstly, Behzadpour juggled the ball inside his own half before smashing in a long-range effort.

Mirjalili then levelled the match by calmly completing nine keep-ups as opposition players closed him down.

He then volleyed the ball into the back of the net from halfway.

Behzadpour followed this with a deflected strike to put Iran ahead, striding forward before unleashing a low and hard effort.

Reacting on social media, one fan wrote: “He is a cheat code.”

Another shocked supporter simply added: “Oh… my…”
