Inside the water park with the biggest wave pool in the world – as well as slides, rollercoasters and a sandy beach

WATERPARKS are the perfect way to cool off on holiday, and a great place to head with the family for some fun too.

One of the world’s biggest is much more than just a waterpark, with a beach and rollercoasters on offer too.

Siam Amazing Park in Bangkok is home to a record breaking wave pool, as well as a number of other features that keep visitors coming back.

The amusement park is Thailand‘s biggest, with the water section, “Water World” the largest waterpark in all of Asia.

Its website invites guests to “chill out under tropical coconut shade and spend a quality time with your family and loved ones”.

The park boasts the world’s largest wave pool, certified by Guinness World Records.

It also has signature water rides, Speed Slide and Super Spiral.

The former is a seven-storey-rainbow slide, which is the highest in Southeast Asia and was once recorded as the highest in the world.

The latter is described as an “iconic ride for big kids” and is 20 metres high, with twists and turns all the way down to the bottom.

Guests are also invited to “relax on beach chairs” with the park also home to Bangkok’s only manmade beach.

It features a sandy shoreline, with beach huts and palm trees around the edge of the huge wave pool.

Siam Amazing Park, formerly known as Siam Park City, is far from just a waterpark, however.

In fact, Water World is one of several worlds that the 900baht (£20) entry fee provides access to.

There’s also Xtreme World, where thrill rides like Vortex, Boomerang and Giant Drop can be found next to other theme park favourites, like log flumes, balloon rides and others.

The park has hundreds of five-star reviews on TripAdvisor, with many describing it as “amazing”.

Another wrote: “This theme park was an amazing day out, with loads for rides personalised for everyone. We visited this place and we would definitely go again.”

A third added: “Amazing park with amazing rides, best theme park in Thailand with lots of exciting rides and a huge pool.”

For those unable to head to Bangkok, a new £250m water attraction is set to open in Manchester in 2025.

Therme Manchester is set to have 25 swimming pools, including a wave pool, and 35 water slides.

There will also be an indoor beach – the first all-season beach in the country, and a wellness area, which will contain swim-up bars, water lagoons, steam rooms and saunas.

Meanwhile, the world’s largest indoor waterpark is in Europe and has 18 swimming pools and is 32C inside.

And this is the UK’s best theme park in 2023.
