A CRUISE line offering three-year long cruises has released images of its brand new ship, which will offer “Life at Sea” cruises for passengers.

Miray Cruises announced this week the introduction of MV Lara, a new world cruise ship that they say will “redefine the realm of extended voyages”.

After launching their Life at Sea journeys, the company has acquired a newer, larger vessel to accommodate new passengers looking to join in on the lengthy trips after huge demand filled up spaces.

MV Gemini, the former cruise ship that launched the journeys, is will conduct Aegean Sea voyages with the Lara taking its place instead.

The Lara is bigger than its predecessor, although Miray claim it will still “maintain an intimate feel and experience” for those on board during three-year cruise.

Kendra Holmes, CEO of Miray Cruises, said: “We are beyond excited to introduce the beautiful MV Lara for this incredible, history-making, three-year voyage.

“Our fleet is expanding due to the unprecedented demand for our long-duration circumnavigation voyages to responsibly explore every corner of our planet.

“Our residents are changing their lives for this opportunity, and we are honoured to be a part of their personal journeys.”

The new vessel will boast plenty of unique features, including a business centre with offices and a cigar and wine bar.

There will also be a 24-hour on-call hospital with complimentary medical visits, learning and enrichment lectures, and opportunities to engage in volunteer and philanthropic initiatives.

During the three year journey, the 42,000 gross ton vessel’s voyage will span more than 130,000 miles, covering 382 ports, seven continents, and 148 countries

Ethem Bayramoglu, COO of Miray Cruises, added: “Seeing such an overwhelming interest in our itinerary and unique ports where we will always be in summer is truly thrilling.

“This is evidence of the allure of our extended world cruise concept and the exceptional experiences that await our residents aboard MV Lara.”

The world’s first three year cruise will visit 13 of the Wonders of the World, UNESCO World Heritage sites, as well as other exciting locations.

Guests will be taken to visit Christ The Redeemer in Rio, the Great Wall of China, The Colossus of Rhodes, Chichen Itza in Mexico, The Pyramids of Giza, The Mausoleum at Halicarnassus, The Colosseum in Rome, The Pharos of Alexandria, Petra in Jordan, the Statue of Zeus at Olympia, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Temple of Artemis at Ephesus
and the Taj Mahal.

At each port of call, travellers will have the luxury of multiple days for unhurried exploration and the freedom to embark on their own adventures.

The ship will set off on its inaugural departure from Istanbul on November 1, 2023.

A shared room on the cruise begins at $38,513 (£30,360) per person, per year, or $87,720 (£69,000) per year for double-occupancy.

For the full three years, a room for two costs from $231,078 (£167,600), although that’s for an indoor cabin.

Outside cabins start at $65,052 (£51,150) per person per year, or $390,312 (£307,000) for two, for three years.

Elsewhere, the even more luxurious balcony cabins, which are “deluxe and spacious” and include a private balcony are $98,226 (£77,250) per person per year.

That goes up to $589,356 (£463,500) for a couple for the full cruise.

Meanwhile Austin Wells from San Diego paid $300,000 (£246,465) for a studio with a 12-year lease onboard the MV Narrative – a mega cruise ship with 500 private rooms and apartments.

Holidaymakers can also spend their time on a Disney cruise complete with an adult-only pool and live fireworks.
