Inside the most luxurious car park in the world where robots park your motor and spaces cost £250,000

IN the most luxurious car park in the world, robots park your car and spaces cost a whopping £250,000.

New York is one of the most difficult cities in the world to find a parking space, so Klaus Multiparking has come up with a solution.

New York has relatively few car parks because they take up valuable real state space.

For that reason, Klaus has designed a futuristic solution that doesn’t require much space to attract people to buy homes.

The posh parking has similar technology to a vending machine.

Each parking space costs £250,000-£500,000 and the apartments that go with them go for around £2million.

Speaking to the American television channel CNBC, Senada Adzem, a Florida-based real estate broker, said: “As crazy it may sound, £250,000 for a residential parking spot is considered a reasonable price in New York.”

To park, the driver opens the car park door with their phone and, pressing a button, summons an empty ‘pallet’ from the level below to pick up their car.

Cameras scan the vehicle to ensure that the doors and the boot are closed for safety.

Then, it’s shuttled away to be stored in a racking system.

When homeowners want their cars back, they just scan their identification and it returns in just over two minutes.

Pedro Fernandez at Klaus Parking said: “Our top-tier system typically costs developers between $50,000 and $70,000 per spot installed.”

“(In New York) there was no other way to park 24 cars,” said Fernandez.
