The magazine says its list features: “The best new openings in travel, from the fresh hotels we would plan a trip around to boundary-pushing dining, cruise ships, museums, and more”.
The regal manor, which is located at Dominick’s Abbey, Cashel, dates back to 1732, but recently reopened after an extensive makeover.
The five-star hotel offers a total of 42 “elegant” bedrooms, suites as well as expansive gardens and a world class spa.
According to The Cashel Palace’s website, it has been “meticulously restored and exquisitely re imagined”.
Over the years the hotel has hosted a number of high profile guests, including Jacqueline Kennedy, Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor, Ronald Reagan, Diana Spencer and Prince Joachim of Denmark.
The hotel features stunning walled gardens with ancient trees, modern planting and greenery.
Inside, there are several comfortable lounge areas with open fires.
Along with the luxury spa there is also a light-flooded swimming pool, seaweed baths, full range of treatments, a thermal suite, gym, hair salon and yoga room classes.
The hotel also has two bars, The Guinness Bar and private residents Cocktail Bar as well as the restaurant, The Bishop’s Buttery which provides light lunches and glamorous evening meals.
Guests can also enjoy afternoon tea in the Queen Anne Room, or on the Garden Terrace during warmer weather.
The hotel is also a popular location for occasions, such as weddings.
Conde Nast Traveller also put a number of other European hotels in the hot list.
They include The Twenty Two in London, Gleneagles Townhouse in Edinburgh and The Madrid EDITION in Spain.
The magazine hailed The Cashel Palace as a “gloriously detailed yet unstuffy reimagining of the handsome 300-year-old mansion.”
