Soft play, laser tag and giant games are all on offer for big kids at both Adventurers soft-play centres in Taunton and Cheddar.

By day, children are seen running around and playing at the sites, but by night they turn into venues for thrill-seekers and party-goers looking for a unique place to play like youngsters once again.

Once every month, guests can enjoy a three-hour Adventurers After Dark sessions at the centres, including a host of fun and interactive games and activities.

Party goers can “let their inner child run wild” with laser tag battles, rock-star karaoke sessions, and a fully-licensed bar stocked with an array of cocktails and alcoholic slushies.

All accompanied by high-tech lighting, strobes, sound systems and DJs creating “the perfect nightclub experience”.

Laser tag invites visitors to “step into a heart-pounding world of adrenaline”.

In there they can battle it out with friends, using cutting-edge laser technology to tag opponents and win the game.

There’s also freedom gaming in which players climb, crawl, jump and run through indoor play obstacles in a crazy, fun-filled rush to hit the pods and score points for their team.

Other play options come in the form of giant games with oversized versions of classics like Jenga, Connect 4 and Mousetrap all available.

Elsewhere, guests can take centre stage and unleash their inner rockstar in special karaoke sessions.

They will be able to choose from an extensive selection of songs, spanning genres and eras, letting them entertain their friends, or perform with them in a duet or group.

Upcoming adult only nights will be held on Saturday, February 24 and Saturday, March 30.

Tickets cost £9.95 and include all activities.

Being a big kid isn’t restricted to those in the south west however, with options for adults to act childish available elsewhere.

Bubble Planet

Included in those are Bubble Planet in London, where visitors experience 11 different interactive zones, two of which contain huge ball pits.

Other zones include the infinity room, where optical illusions make the space appear endless and the balloon gateway, with a hot air balloon simulator.

Balloon Museum

Additionally, there’s a Balloon Museum, also in London, which has a giant ball pit all of its own, as well as 19 different immersive exhibits.

Other exhibitions include The Swing where several black and white balls are suspended from the ceiling.

As they hang, the balls bounce and collide into one another and visitors are invited to move between the balls, causing them to crash.

It has kids’ games, murals, alcoholic slushies and a huge soft play area, among other fun attractions.
