CAMI stands for Cool Amphibious Manufacturers International and they were the perfect people to make a water-going motorhome.

The Terra Wind can go up to 80mph on land but that drops to 8mph in the water.

That’s not surprising, given the Terra Wind is 12 metres long and can weigh as much as 15 tonnes once fully laden.

A huge 330hp diesel engine is on hand for power, driving either the rear wheels or twin propellers in the water.

You enter marine mode as you slide into the water and there’s everything a normal boat has including marine sat-nav and an anchor for pitching up.

Huge inflatable pontoons on the RV’s flanks provide stability in choppy water.

However, CAMI reckons you should stick to lakes and rivers in the Terra Wind and avoid the open sea.

Inside you’re treated to the pinnacle of motorhome luxury.

There’s leather and high quality wood everywhere, a fully-fitted kitchen, king-size double bed and hotel-like bathroom suite.

The CAMI Terra Wind was first shown off in 2013 but was still on sale in 2019 and the CAMI website is still advertising it today.
