RORY MCILROY is back on top of the world after winning the CJ Cup for the second year in-a-row.
The Holywood man overtook Scottie Scheffler at the top of the world rankings after retaining the title he won in 2021.

It is the first time that he reigns supreme at the top of the world rankings since July 2020, and the ninth time in his career.

Who is Rory McIlroy’s wife Erica Stoll?
Erica Stoll was born in 1988 and raised in Irondequoit, New York with sister Natalie Stoll.
However, Erica latterly lived in Palm Beach Gardens in Florida.
Erica was working for the PGA when Rory met her as the manager of the Championship Volunteer Operations for the PGA of America in 2011.
They actually first set eyes on each other in 2012 when Rory nearly ruined the Ryder Cup Miracle at Medinah by oversleeping.
Erica was the PGA employee who came to his rescue before police rushed him to the course that September morning.

Their first meeting was the subject of a quip from Rory following his second round at the 2022 CJ Cup.
After the conclusion of the round, he reunited with Kyler Aubrey, a disabled fan whom he had first met in 2012.
During a friendly confrontation between the two, McIlroy pointed out that he has known Aubrey longer than Stoll.
The pair welcomed their first child, daughter Poppy Kennedy McIlroy, on August 31 2020.

When did they get married?
The couple tied the knot on April 21, 2017.
Their guest list included soul legend Stevie Wonder, Coldplay’s Chris Martin and One Direction’s Niall Horan.
Three-time Major champion Padraig Harrington and former Ryder Cup skipper Paul McGinley also attended McIlroy’s wedding in the grounds of Ashworth Castle, one of Ireland’s top of hotels.

McIlroy parted with £8.5million when he bought his stunning Florida home from Ernie Els.
Found in The Bear’s Club, a golf development which was established by Jack Nicklaus in 1999, the massive house stretches over 12,800 square feet.
It boasts seven bedrooms, 10 bathrooms, a recording studio, games room, gigantic pool and a home cinema.
