Inside Jude Bellingham’s first day at Real Madrid as England star is put through his paces by new boss Carlo Ancelotti

JUDE BELLINGHAM was put through his paces as a Real Madrid player yesterday.

The England midfielder, 20, linked up with team-mates for the first time following his £115million move from Borussia Dortmund.

And Real boss Carlo Ancelotti greeted the Birmingham youth academy product.

He was then wired up for medical tests and had spells on an exercise bike and running machine.

Bellingham even had time to pose for a snap by the lockers of legendary team-mates Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

He missed the end of Dortmund’s failed title bid with a knee injury that also saw him pull out of England’s Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia in June.

But he told Marca: “I’m ready to play, the knee is in perfect condition.

“I’m looking forward to playing at the Bernabeu. I’m ready to win.”

Bellingham’s transfer to the Spanish giants represents a record-fee for a British player, even dwarfing the £105m Arsenal are set to pay for West Ham skipper Declan Rice.

He had made 132 appearances in all competitions for previous club Dortmund over three seasons.

During his time in Germany he netted 24 goals in all competitions, and was voted the Bundesliga Player of the Season for 2022/23 while also being named in the Team of the Year twice.

However, he missed out on the Players’ Player award to Manchester United target Randal Kolo Muani.

In Madrid he will wear the No.5 shirt, following in the footsteps of icons such as Zinedine Zidane.
