Inside John Cena’s insane body transformation at 46 from chiseled bodybuilder to ‘vein-popping’ WWE comeback look

OVER the years, John Cena has transformed his body into various looks, but the WWE legend still dons a vein-popping physique.

Cena, 46, has made his comeback to the WWE in 2023 after being a 16-time world champion for the wrestling company.

But before competing as a wrestler, Cena was a bodybuilder.

He had a massive, chiseled physique that would shock WWE fans today.

Cena’s bodybuilding look was in 1999 after he graduated from Springfield College with a degree in exercise psychology and body movement.

The Massachusetts native had to pay his dues in his journey to the WWE.

Cena performed in Ultimate Pro Wrestling and his physique became less chiseled, but still as muscular as can be.

The rest was history after Cena moved to SmackDown in 2002.

He’s continued to be a WWE fan-favorite and is a three-time World Heavyweight Champion, two-time WWE Tag Team Champion, a two-time World Tag Team Champion, and a two-time Royal Rumble winner.

After being a free agent from 2017 to 2019, and starring in many movies, the 46-year-old Cena has returned to the wrestling company.

He recently returned to SmackDown and helped the program record almost seven times as many viewers as rival All Elite Wrestling Collision.

Cena doesn’t have the same legendary build from his prime days.

But he still has a vein-popping, muscular physique in his mid-forties.

He’ll appear in the next seven episodes of SmackDown and recently appeared at WWE Payback last week.

Cena will compete at Superstar Spectacle on September 8.

Earlier this month, Cena tweeted: “Exciting first weekend back with the WWE family for Smackdown and WWEPayback.

“So much to do in so little time! Thank you Hershey, Pittsburgh, and everyone who watched! Next stop: WWE India!!”
