Nesting mode, activate! Tarek El Moussa and pregnant Heather Rae El Moussa (née Young) are ready for their baby boy’s arrival later this month and put the finishing touches on his nursery.
“Baby El Moussa Nursery Reveal!! Now that his room is all ready I’m even more ready for him to be here!!” the Selling Sunset star, 35, captioned a video via Instagram on Tuesday, January 3.
She continued: “But for now, I’m just going to take a second to soak it all in Tarek and I have been dreaming about what we wanted his nursery to look like for months and I’m so lucky to have found @babyletto to help make our vision a reality .”
The Flip or Flop alum, 41, and Heather, who tied the knot in October 2021, teamed up with Babyletto to pick out the baby boy’s crib, changing table and rocking chair. “We were so specific in choosing these pieces and wanted his room to have a lot of luxe blacks, whites, and neutrals (like the rest of our house) while still feeling cozy so everything from Babyletto could not have been more perfect,” the real estate agent gushed.
Elephants can be found throughout the nursery, and that’s not just because their natural gray exterior matches the color palette. The couple explained to Access Hollywood that the inspiration for the motif is actually Heather’s elephant tattoo on her wrist.
“I love elephants, so as soon as we found out we were having a baby I was like, ‘The room has to be elephants,’” she said, adding that the baby is expected to be born later this month.
Heather announced her pregnancy in July and later revealed that they are expecting a little boy. Tarek is already the father of daughter Taylor, 12, and son Brayden, 7, whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall (née Haack).
Over the years, Heather has spoken candidly about her bond with Tarek’s children, who even participated in the duo’s wedding. “These kids are truly our everything, so we decided to say our vows first to the kids and second to each other,” the former model wrote via Instagram after the ceremony. “This is just a tiny portion of what I said to the kids, but I truly meant every word: When your daddy and I decided to be fully committed, I was 100 percent committing myself to you too. I am beyond honored to be your bonus mommy. Thank you for allowing me to love your daddy with all my heart. I love you both more than you will ever know.”
