Inside EV motorhome that gives ‘5-star hotel experience’ with Queen sized bed, 24/7 concierge and fully equipped kitchen

A START-up is offering an all-electric motorhome for the ultimate luxury road trip and even has a virtual 24/7 virtual concierge.

RollAway claims the van offers a “five-star hotel experience” complete with a Queen-sized bed, an ensuite bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette.

It is also equipped with an onboard Starlink giving you uninterrupted connectivity so the intrepid explorer can also work from anywhere.

The cosy living room can also be transformed into a chic dining area which in turn, turns into a plush bedroom.

Its virtual concierge is able to help with making reservations, give directions and provide roadside assistance.

The vans are also equipped with curated travel itineraries, spa toiletries and outdoor adventure amenities.

There is also a “housekeeping on-the-go kit” for any cleaning up that needs doing.

Rollaway partnered with BrightDrop, an EV manufacturer owned by General Motors.

The zero emissions van is said to have an estimated range of 250 miles and comes with fast charging support for when a quick re-charge is needed.

According to the company blurb, the motorhome was “made for explorers who see travel differently and thrive on creating long-lasting memories”.

Anyone wanting to rent out the electric van must, however, meet some minimum requirements.

They must have a valid driver’s licence and be at least 25 years old.

That minimum age applies to at least one adult who must check-in and drive the RollAway Suite on Wheels.

For any accompanying passenger in the RollAway Van’s front seat, they must be at least 8 years old and measure at least 4’ 9″ in height.

Pre-bookings are now available through Indiegogo, which is currently offering discounts.

The service is due to launch in April 2024 but will initially only be available in the San Francisco Bay Area.

It comes as another motorhome has been described as the “epitome of luxury” that includes underfloor heating, a lounge area and elegant Nordic oak finish.

Elsewhere, a couple have transformed a Sainsbury’s delivery van into a camper and intend on taking it on a trip to the Arctic.

Meanwhile, another plush EV van has three rooms and is fitted with a touchscreen command centre and a hidden TV.

While this luxury motorhome is equipped with built-in massage chairs, a wine fridge and a garage.
