HOLIDAYMAKERS probably haven’t heard about one of Europe’s largest indoor theme parks – even though it has more than 30 rides and attractions.
While the winter has people planning festive days out, indoor theme parks are a great choice for families and thrill-seekers who shy away from yuletide activities.

Mandoria is the biggest indoor theme park in Europe, and it’s expanding its offering even further.
The theme park, which is located in the Ptak Outlet Shopping Centre in Rzgow, just outside of Łódź in Poland, has announced plans to expand.
Earlier this week, the indoor theme park shared an overview of its expansion, including a brand-new rollercoaster called Aquila.
Very few details about the rollercoaster have been released, but it will feature a 25m tower where parkgoers will be able to glimpse some of the action inside the theme park.
Aquila will reach a top speed of 70 km/h (43mph) over its 445m route.
In addition to the brand-new rollercoaster, the indoor theme park will also open other attractions, as well as food and drink stations.
While there is no firm opening date for the new attractions, the new area has been slated to open in 2025.
Park manager Daniel Zieliński told Blooloop: “From the very beginning of Mandoria, we wanted it to be described by three adjectives: themed, family, and year-round.
“In embarking on the new zone, we are staying true to this objective. Mandoria will still look like a 16th-century trading town and thanks to the construction of the massive tower, our fourth rollercoaster will travel its entire route indoors.
“This means that it will be available to visitors regardless of the season or the weather.”
Mandoria first opened its doors in 2021, and it is now home to more than 30 rides and attractions.
And this isn’t the first time that the park has added to its line-up.
The theme park opened a small water ride, two family-friendly rides, and another rollercoaster in 2022.
Carrara is the theme park’s fastest rollercoaster, but there are plenty of other rides and attractions too.
One of those is the Old Fort, the largest wooden playground in Poland, and there’s also the Galleon, a huge spinning ship overlooking an indoor harbour.
There’s also a mirror maze, dodgems, and plenty of different carousel rides.
Entry tickets to Mandoria cost PLN 129.00 (£25.62), while tickets for two adults and two children cost PLN 499.00 (£100).
Mandoria is a 20-minute drive from the Polish city of Łódź, and it’s an hour’s drive from Warsaw.
Ryanair operates direct flights from UK cities like London and Nottingham, with one-way fares starting from £20.
Poland is also home to the largest theme park in Europe.
Set in Zator in Southern Poland, Energylandia is thought to be one of the largest amusement parks in Europe.
Energylandia first opened its doors in 2014 and is now home to more than 123 rides and attractions, which sit across six different zones.
A huge new rollercoaster is set to open at Legoland next spring.
Meanwhile, this was the best theme park in 2023 in the UK.
Back in 2022, the theme park opened a small water ride
