APPLE is designing a true adventure phone behind the scenes.
The Sun has trawled through some of Apple’s most recent patents to give you a glimpse at what the tech giant could be putting on the shelves in the not too distant future.

The iPhone-maker is on the brink of introducing a foldable screen, as it follows in Samsung’s footsteps.
The US Patent and Trademark Office has granted Apple the patent for an expandable display, that could be used on future iPhones and iPads.
Apple is also working on making its touchscreens usable underwater.
Most iPhones are now waterproof, meaning you can submerge them in water 6metres deep for up to 30minutes.
But using the device underwater the same way you would on dry land has proven difficult.
The screen tends to pick up on the presence of water and will struggle to let users press buttons on the screen as intended.
The new iPhone screen will have an optical touch sensor that is insensitive to the presence of moisture.
It means iPhones will be fully operable when immersed in water, be it swimming in fresh or salt water and when an iPhone is wet due to rain.
Apple is also expected to ditch its Dynamic Island on future models.
The Dynamic Island, an interactive bar with notifications and app shortcuts just below the camera, was introduced to iPhone 14 Pro models.
But similarly to the interactive bar on Apple’s MacBook Pro which hit the shelves in 2020, it is likely to be a one hit wonder.
With the rising popularity of artificial intelligence (AI), Apple is mulling injecting advanced machine learning into its newest iPhones as part of its Memoji feature.
Memoji is Apple’s in-house avatar feature, which lets users create customisable and interactive emojis which are based of the users appearance.
iPhone users currently have to create the Memoji in their own image themselves.
However, Apple is planning on introducing AI to pick up on any changes to appearance and update the Memoji accordingly.
For example, the next-generation of Memoji customisation will allow users to integrate their own glasses, hat, hijab and other accessories into their Memoji through a machine learning process.
