A MAN who left school with zero A-levels has revealed he is now the world’s top Ferrari technician.
Daniel Dawson, from Yorkshire, went from being a school drop-out to becoming an award-winning car expert.

The motors whizz has been working for the JCT600 Ferrari dealership in Leeds for more than 18 years.
Mr Dawson joined the repair shop at only 17 when he was just an apprentice.
The cars enthusiast decided to quit college to become a full-time car tech.
He said: “I’ve always had a passion for cars, but I didn’t really look into working in the sector straight away.
“I didn’t know much about apprenticeships when I left school and there wasn’t as much information or awareness at the time.”
His love for fast motors led him to apply for an apprenticeship after dropping out his A-Levels.
He added: “I studied maths, ICT, and design and technology at AS level, but I knew back then that it wasn’t for me.
“After speaking with the college counsellor to discuss options, I found out that the apprenticeship was an option.
“I applied immediately and had to take some further tests to find out my suitability. I was shortlisted and was successful.”
The company is Yorkshire’s largest family-owned business – with over 50 dealerships across the country.
Founded in 1946, it now employs more than 2,300 technicians.
After nearly two decades, Daniel has made a name for himself in the cars industry.
He was recently crowned the world’s top technician for the second consecutive year at the Testa Rossa Awards.
The awards took place at the company’s Maranello HQ last October.
It consisted of five categories – including Top Technician, Top Service Manager, Top After Sales Ambassador, Top Marketing Executive, and Top Sales Executive.
Dozens are selected among thousands of employees from Ferrari’s global dealer network.
And this year, proud cars expert Daniel scooped the title for the second time.
Mr Dawson said: “Thinking of how well I’d done [last year], I didn’t think I’d be going to the finals again, let alone to go and win it for the second year in a row, which has never been done before!”
It comes as a teen managed to turn over more than £1 million from selling cars – despite leaving school with no A Levels.
Morgan Wilce’s has 50 cars stocked on site, doesn’t go on holidays and thinks exams “aren’t the only route to success”.
