According to the Reddit user, the neighbour has his own driveway but puts up fake ‘no parking signs to keep the spot free for himself.

Reddit users were quick to comment on the post.

One said: “Keep parking there. It will deter others who don’t know from taking the spot.

“You won’t get fined because it’s not real. Ignore the neighbours.”

Another said: “Just keep taking it down, can’t really stop him, but you can ignore him.”

A third pointed out: “I would relocate the sign to somewhere on their property or just trash it.

“And I would make a point to park there.”

Other users said that they had experienced a similar situation.

One said: “I had a neighbour that did this and would write parking tickets. One day he even got to the point of spray painting the curb yellow so nobody would park there.”

Another said: “That’s what I do. My newish neighbour, who is renting, puts two traffic cones in the street where he likes to park.

“They are clearly stolen and still have the City Public Works stencilling.

“My doorbell cam shows him placing/removing them when he parks.”
