Danny Masterson’s ex Bijou Phillips has made a rare statement after filing for divorce from the That 70’s Show star after he was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for rape.
Phillips, 43, attended a Grammys viewing party on February 4, where she told E! News “I’m doing good.”
She added that her and their daughter Fianna, nine, make a “great little team”.
Four months ago, Masterson reportedly agreed to give her full custody of their child as he serves his 30-year prison sentence.

Documents obtained by Us Weekly say Masterson agreed to give his estranged wife full legal and physical custody of their only child. He reportedly requested visitation rights.
This is what Phillips had requested from him when she filed for divorce from the actor just two weeks after he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for raping two women.
He was found guilty of raping a 28-year-old woman in April 2003 and another 23-year-old woman the same year, both incidents occurring at his Hollywood Hills home.
The jury could not reach a verdict on the third count, an allegation that Masterson also raped a longtime girlfriend. They had voted 8-4 in favour of conviction.

Masterson had steadfastly denied the allegations since he was first accused in 2020. It is said he used his position in the Church of Scientology – which all three women also belonged to at the time – to avoid consequences.
In January, as reported by People, he was denied bail pending appeal.
In September last year, after standing by him all throughout his trial, Philips filed the divorce papers.
Her lawyer Peter A. Lauzon told TMZ at the time, “Ms. Phillips has decided to file for divorce from her husband during this unfortunate time. Her priority remains with her daughter.
“This period has been unimaginably hard on the marriage and the family. Mr. Masterson was always present for Ms. Phillips during her most difficult times of her life. Ms. Phillips acknowledges that Mr. Masterson is a wonderful father to their daughter.”

According to the publication, she asked for her legal name to go back to Phillips, wants spousal support and cited irreconcilable differences on the documents.

They went public with their relationship in 2005 and announced their engagement in March 2009. They welcomed their daughter in 2014.
