The 34-year-old is considered as one of the pioneers of the Women’s Revolution, which led to female performers getting equal booking to the men.
However, Bayley’s career stagnated four years ago when she was drafted to SmackDown.
The San Jose native claims she felt “very lonely” backstage as she found herself at an unfamiliar environment.
But it all changed when The Role Model became Ms Money in the Bank and cashed in on Charlotte Flair on the same night to become the SmackDown Women’s Champion.
That led to a major career change as the Damage CTRL leader made the risky decision of dumping her fan-favoute persona, which elevated her from NXT.
The three-time women’s champion turned heel and adopted an arrogant as well as irritating personality.
But that led her to greater success as she became the longest-reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion during her second reign, which lasted a staggering 379 days.
Bayley told SunSport: “I think it’s one of the highlights of my career, because at the time I won it it was a turning point for me.
“I had just been drafted to SmackDown, I felt very lonely backstage, I felt like I started at a new school.
“It was a weird shift in my career that I really needed and that set me off to be the longest reigning SmackDown Women’s Champion in history.
“So that’s very memorable for me and it’s a very rare match. It’s one of those matches that is a goal for everybody.
“There hasn’t been as many [female Money in the Bank winners] as the guys, so I’m proud to say I’m the winner of one of those.”
