Despite being a lover of budget breaks, Escape travel Writer Sabine Leroy has swapped her traditional holiday in favour of an all-inclusive getaway.
As a mum, she found the mental load of organising family holidays to be too overwhelming and preferred the ease of resorts that had it all.
In an article in Escape, she revealed the tricks she uses to reduce the cost of her all-inclusive holiday.
She said: “You’d be surprised at how much you can save by ringing and asking for offers.
“Most resorts would rather guests book directly through them, so they may just knock a bit off the price or chuck in some freebies.”
Another way to cut down the cost of an all-inclusive is by staying at a newly-opened resort.
This is because newer resorts will often drop prices in a bid to bring in customers.
She added: “Yes, you’ll likely need to bear with teething issues, but if you can live with that, you’ll save a bit of cash.”
Sabine also encouraged holidaymakers to make the most of additional freebies at the resort too.
She encouraged holidaymakers to ask for extra portions, sides or puddings during meal times.
Because the worse staff will say is the word “no”, and all you’ve had to do is be a bit cheeky.
And this isn’t the only way holidaymakers can save money on their next trip.
In a recent video on TikTok, one mum, who is known as The Travel Mum, revealed the effective way she searches the Jet2 website for the best deals on flights, hotels, and package holidays.
She showed users how to effectively use the travel calendar on the Jet2 website to find the cheapest flights and other holiday deals.
Meanwhile, another TikTok user revealed how he saves money on hotels by booking ‘mystery holiday’ deals, without it being a mystery at all.
The savvy holiday hunter, traveltipswithjay, uses a Chrome extension called Travelarrow to find out where exactly the mystery holiday will be.
