As winter sweeps in and the weather turns colder it’s essential to be able to clear your view before setting off.

Fortunately, Tim Alcock from LeaseCarUK was on hand to share a handy hack for just that purpose.
All you need is a basic plastic carrier bag that you can buy from any supermarket for 10p.
Tim told The Express: “Everyone has supermarket bags around the house, which come in handy when the weather cools off.
“Make sure it has no holes and fill it with lukewarm or cold water.
“Wipe the bag over iced windows and watch it quickly clear.”
Following Tim’s advice could even save you from a hefty fine in the long run.
If you fail to properly clear your windscreen, you could find yourself on the wrong side of the law.
Driving with your view blocked in actually an offence and, in the most serious cases, could see you slapped with a penalty charge of up to £2,500 and three points on your licence.
However, Tim warned drivers against making a disastrous mistake.
He emphasised that you should only ever use cold or lukewarm water for this purpose and never hot or boiling water.
While it may seem like hotter water would melt the frost more easily, it can also cause a thermal shock to your windscreen.
This is where the heat causes the glass to expand in certain areas and flex, which can lead to chips, cracks or even the pane shattering.
A full windscreen replacement can cost you several hundred pounds so it’s worth exercising caution when trying this out.
It comes after a car cleaning whizz issued a warning to drivers over a potentially costly error.
Meanwhile, motorists have been discovering a hidden button behind their steering wheels with a very useful function.
