But an experienced flight attendant is urging Brits to do exactly that.

Caroline took to social media to explain why you should always drag yourself out of bed early for a holiday.

The Fort Lauderdale worker said people often opt for evening flights hoping to dodge delays.

However, she advised travelers to book their flights as early as possible to avoid to get the stressful travel part out of the way.

In an Instagram video, said: “I know you don’t want to wake up at three in the morning to catch a 5 am flight.

“But I promise you the earlier your flight is, the smoother everything is going to go.”

Passengers can also get cheaper and improved chances of getting a better seat.

This is because of the increased demand for seats on flights at more convenient times.

Caroline also shared a list of tips to ensure your travel plans go ahead without mishaps.

CONSIDER LAYOVER TIMES

One of the most common mistakes people do is booking a flight without checking the layover time, Caroline said.

She recommended passengers to always consider the time needed between changing flights on the same journey.

The flight attendant recommends to allow a minimum of two hours or three hours if flying intentionally.

This will allow plenty of time to get through customs and security for the second art of the journey.

She said: “You don’t want to be stressed and rushing from your flight and not make the next flight and then the one after is oversold.”

USE THE AIRLINE’S APP

Caroline said travelers also make the mistake of not downloading the airlines app.

The flying whizz claimed that it can make your travel journey much smoother,

She explained: “It will help you out so much as you are traveling throughout the airport.

“You can find out if there are any delays and get information on your connecting flight and which gate it is at.

“There is just so much information on them.”
