A FLIGHT attendant has revealed why she always books seats in row five whenever she flies as a passenger.
Finding the best seats on planes is tricky, with some people preferring the window and others favouring the aisle.

However, cabin crew member Rosie Awad, who has been a flight attendant with Virgin Australia for almost a decade, not only has a favourite seat, but also a favourite row as well.
She always makes sure to book herself in the fifth row whenever she flies, especially on a Boeing 737-800, for several different reasons.
She told Escape: “I would always choose row 5 on our B737-800 at the window.
“There are great views, you can see the airplane wing, you get extra leg room, there are no emergency exit responsibilities, you’re able to put a bag under the seat in front, it’s close for disembarking, and is one of the first rows to be served for inflight service.”
There are also rows that Rosie hates sitting in too, with her least favourite the very last one in the cabin.
She explained: “The worst seat for passengers would have to be the last row, or any row next to a lavatory. I’m so sorry to those who get any seats in that row. I think it’s pretty self explanatory why.”
Avoiding the toilets is one of the key reasons flight attendants advise picking seats away from the back row.
Sandra Jeenie Kwon, who used to work for Emirates, has racked up nearly 5million followers on TikTok with her informative videos.
She suggests giving yourself plenty of space to dodge the bathroom stench.
She said: “Seats near toilets stink like s***. I recommend a buffer of around five rows just to be in the safe zone.”
There are other reasons to avoid the seats at the back of the plane as well.
Madeleine Doyle was a flight attendant for 20 years, working on both domestic and international airlines.
She told Thrillist: “The plane is built like a teeter-totter, and the most stable part is over the wings.
“Turbulence is worse in the back of the plane — it’s much bumpier.
“If you think you’re going to be sensitive to that, sit over the wings.”
Meanwhile another flight attendant thinks the aisle seat at the front of the plane is the best one to book.
This flight attendant picked the best seats to sit in for a journey in economy class.
