I’m A Celeb’s Seann Walsh takes a swipe at Matt Hancock and reveals real reason he signed up for show

I’m A Celebrity’s Seann Walsh has taken a swipe at Matt Hancock by calling him a four-letter expletive on stage.

Comedian Seann was performing at the Soho Theatre in London on Monday evening when he made the gag about his politician campmate Matt, 44, from the ITV series.

Seann Walsh has revealed the real reason he swapped treading the boards for Bushtucker trials in I’m A CelebrityPA:Empics Entertainment

Recalling how he felt demonised after kissing his dance partner Katya Jones, 33, on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, behind the back of his girlfriend, Seann, 37, said: “Have you ever had an entire country think you’re a c***?

“It’s quite a lot to take. It’s quite difficult when an entire country gets together and decide you’re a c***. You don’t really know how to deal with it.

“Unless of course, you’re Matt Hancock, and you just come third in the jungle.”

Seann went on to come fifth in the show last month but described the experience as being surreal.

Seann Walsh’s pregnant girlfriend reveals why he will be shocked after IAC

Joking about his dreams since flying back from Australia last week, he told the audience: “Have you had the jet lag dreams? F**king mental.

“I had this dream I was stood in what seemed like a jungle and Matt Hancock appeared from the bushes and we became undercover moles and then friends.”

Seann admitted the show has done wonders for him though, as he played the first of a sold out string of gigs.

He said: “Here we are. Sold out, as well. It’s amazing. About three weeks ago I couldn’t sell out a phone box.”

But he used his set to reveal the real reason why he took part in the show, which ex-England footballer Jill Scott won.

Seann, whose girlfriend Grace Adderley is pregnant with their first child, said he had made a fortune in his twenties but lost it after a financial mistake.

He explained: “I’m not the kind of guy that put money aside. All that money I got in my twenties, all that Live At The Apollo dosh, that went.

“I didn’t realise I had a lot of money. I had so much. It’s insane how much money I had.

“All of the money went – every bit. I’d love to be able to tell you that with all the money it was like The Wolf Of Wall Street.

“Like, ‘I was like Leonardo DiCaprio sniffing lines off a hooker’s a**e.’

“But what actually happened was I wasn’t paying attention to a variable mortgage.”
