The bizarre yet simple hack will remove even the toughest dirt

The slime is a mixture of glue, baking soda and contact solution

Turns out that drivers can use slime to easily gather dirt and dust from hard-to-clean areas like the cup holder and steering wheel.

The best part is that everything you’ll need will most likely be sitting in your cupboards.

Motorists can create their own cleaning slime by mixing glue, baking soda and contact solution.

The simple hack is a great method for a quick clean.

But perhaps the only downside is that slime cannot be reused, so motorists will need to remake the solution which may not be as effective in the long run.

Keeping your car clean and tidy is rewarding, but can be a bit of a chore to regularly maintain.

However, if you invest in the right tools and research the correct techniques, it can be a much easier and fulfilling task.

Another car cleaning expert revealed five handy hacks that will leave your motor as new.

The auto whizz, known as Bikith, took to TikTok to share the advice with her followers.

First of all, Bikith recommended using a squeegee on your car mats before vacuuming them.

This is meant to dislodge hair and dirt from the fibres of the mat and make it easier to hoover them up.

Bikith also suggested squeezing a few drops of lemon oil onto a rage before using it to wipe down leather seats.

Not only does it clean the leather and leave it shiny, but it also makes the car “smell amazing”.

You can buy lemon oil online for under £2.

Cleaning expert Stuart Masson, from The Car Expert, has detailed how some motorists could be wasting money when attempting to look after their vehicle.

He has explained why cleaning your car only twice a month is the best way to keep your car shiny without draining your bank account.

Stuart says: “Cleaning your car regularly will prevents dir from getting caked onto the bodywork, which makes it much more difficult to remove later on.”

However, he adds that cleaning your vehicle only twice a month will help to avoid wasting water and increasing bills.
