In a recent video, Regis said drivers should always ask for proof of any issue to avoid being charged for an unnecessary repair.
He goes on: “The next one is getting an estimate and using that personal estimate so you can do your own research and compare.
“Number three is asking for old parts and asking them where they installed the new ones.
“And always phone a friend and ask them for advice – and don’t be afraid to leave the garage if things don’t look alright.”
