First of all, Bikith recommended using a squeegee on your car mats before vacuuming them.
This is meant to dislodge hair and dirt from the fibres of the mat and make it easier to hoover them up.
Bikith said that the method leaves mats looking “new”.
Secondly, she advised getting hold of some cleaning slime to “dust hard to reach areas”.
The slime is sticky and gathers up debris from nooks and crannies with ease.
It is available on Amazon for as little as £4.25 and is a great way to reach down the sides of seats or clean out aircon grills.
Third, Bikith suggested squeezing a few drops of lemon oil onto a rage before using it to wipe down leather seats.
Not only does it clean the leather and leave it shiny, but it also makes the car “smell amazing”.
You can buy lemon oil online for under £2.
Fourth, the expert had a hack for cleaning your bonnet to save you from having to stretch and strain to reach across it.
Instead of doing it with the old bucket and sponge, dip a microfibre mop in soapy water and use it to wipe down the car.
Finally, Bikith shared a great tip for shining up your headlamps.
Just put a little baking soda on half a lemon and use it like a cloth to wipe down the bulb casing.
The reaction between the soda and lemon creates a powerful cleansing effect and blitzes dirt.
Not only does this look better, but it improves the efficacy of your headlights in the dark.
It comes after an expert mechanic explained why you shouldn’t buy cars from a major brand second hand.
Meanwhile, a car dealership worker walked customers through a key skill which could save them thousands.
