The influencer revealed that the key to success is how far along the driveway you need to park your car.

She said: “If you have a long driveway and it’s going to snow overnight, park at the end of the driveway instead of close to your house.

“When you leave, you won’t have to shovel as much to get out.”

Cathy said you can use the same trick for your snow plow or blower.

Users flocked to the comment section commending the mum for the smart move.

One follower wrote: “This is so helpful omg!”

Another added: “We parked our cars in the center of the driveway, both backed in with hubby’s car closer to street.

“So much easier than normal.”

But some TikTok users argued against the idea.

One person commented: “But that’s also easy for criminals to steal if they don’t have to shovel so much.”

Another said: “If I did that I would have to walk a half of a mile to get to my car.”

But Cathy was quick to reply, saying: “But what’s the alternative? Shoveling 1/2 a mile? That’d be awful unless u have a plow.”

Meanwhile, a driving instructor has revealed the worst place to put your foot while driving in winter.

Content creator DGN Driving took to TikTok to share the genius hacks to avoid a mishap during freezing conditions.

In winter hazardous driving conditions can happen more frequently -with drivers being at higher risk.

For this, car owners should plan ahead their journey before jumping into their vehicles.

Luckily, a driving expert has shared five tips to avoid a mishap during freezing conditions.

In a TikTok video, the driving instructor revealed the worst place drivers can put their feet when driving in ice – to far down on the accelerator.

In the video the man said: “Five tips when driving in the snow. Many don’t do the last one.”

The tip he’s referring to involves driving at a slow speed in on the higher gear as possible and accelerate slowly.

Motorists should particularly slowly on bends as it can be easier to lose control.

You should always brake progressively on the straight before you reach a bend.
