NON-LEAGUE Nuneaton Borough are facing liquidation after pulling out of the Southern Central Premier League.
We reported in November how they had been served an eviction notice from their stadium.

Now they have announced that they face “insurmountable challenges” and, therefore, they are “considering the liquidation process”.
Nuneaton say that their attempts to get back into their Liberty Way ground have failed and they look like being liquidated for a third time in their history.
A club statement read: “We regret to announce that Nuneaton Borough FC will be withdrawing from this season’s Southern Central Premier League.
“Despite the dedicated efforts of our sponsors and officials, the club faces insurmountable challenges in maintaining operations.
“Our legal advisors have confirmed that the offer put forward to purchase Liberty Way will not be considered, and no new lease will be given to any entity.
“Unfortunately, armed with this information, our future investors have had to withdraw any future support. Furthermore, without additional investment or new investors to provide financial support, the club is unable to continue trading.
“In light of these circumstances, we are now considering the liquidation process. This decision comes with a heavy heart, and we deeply appreciate the unwavering support from our loyal fans and the football community during this challenging time.”
This announcement comes just days after a league statement said they were working with Nuneaton Borough and set them several requirements to meet.
They are yet to respond to the club’s statement from this afternoon.
Former Premier League striker Leroy Lita, captain Scott McManus, forward Matt Stenson and manager Jimmy Ginnelly have all left the club over the past week.
Now CoventryLive says that other players left on Wednesday along with player-manager Kyle Storer.
Nuneaton St Nicholas FC were founded in 1899 but reformed as Nuneaton Borough in 1937, remaining that name until 1991.
That was when they went into liquidation for the first time but they reformed and were reborn as Nuneaton Borough 1991 F.C.
They enjoyed a memorable FA Cup run during that period, playing against now England boss Gareth Southgate and Middlesbrough, but in 2008 problems surfaced again.
They were liquidated and renamed Nuneaton Town as they were hit with a two-division demotion.
They eventually reverted to their old name Nuneaton Borough FC and in March 2019 they went to a London High Court in order to get a winding-up order lifted.
The club’s Liberty Way ground was purchased by Arden Tigress later that year, who remains the owner.
