Having disappeared from shop shelves in 2016, it is virtually impossible to buy anywhere online.

While there continue to be hundreds of different alternatives, some people just can’t move on.

As a result, a petition was launched on change.org to bring back the much-loved biscuit.

The “Bring back Cadbury Milk Chocolate Rich Tea Biscuits” petition was started by Saju Miah, who stated his reasons in a crying plea.

He said: “My colleague Ryan occasionally reminiscences the last time he had the pleasure of eating these biscuits and went as far to say, it was the last time he felt true happiness.

“Cadbury has decided to discontinue this misunderstood marvel and failed to understand the joy it use to bring to people like Ryan.

“If you care about this biscuit, and the future of Ryan’s well being, please sign this petition and bring some good into this world.”

But on social media, fans have also been cooking up a storm following seven years of the chocolate-covered rich tea being discontinued.

Some have shared links to the online petition, while others have simply revealed the struggles of being without their favourite biscuit.

One person said: “All I want in life is for Cadbury to bring back Chocolate Rich Tea biscuits.”

Another added: “Let’s bring back the chocolate rich tea so I don’t have to melt Cadbury’s on to a rich tea.”

A third commented: “I didn’t realise they didn’t make them anymore but it’s still an outrage.”

Chocolate lovers received more bad news last week when Sainsbury’s announced they’d discontinued a popular tub of Christmas chocolates.

The sweet treats have been compared to family favourites Roses and Quality Streets but aren’t coming back for this years festive period.

And B&M also shared some devastating news after shoppers said they spotted a discontinued Cadbury bar on the shelves.

A woman claimed she purchased the chocolate bar from the popular retailer, saying it was “well worth” the hefty price tag.
