A MUM has told how she won £100,000 on the People’s Postcode lottery – but almost lost the lot because of a silly mistake.
Mandy Birtley, 49, scooped the whopping sum when her road in Nottinghamshire won the Millionaire Street jackpot earlier this month.

But she nearly didn’t win, as she was on the verge of cancelling her ticket.
Luckily, her partner Gav persuaded her to keep playing.
She told Nottinghamshire Live: “My daughter Abbie came in when she came back from the shop and told me (we won).
“The first thing I did was check to make sure I didn’t cancel it as I was thinking about cancelling it a few months ago when I was sorting my finances out.
“I nearly passed out, my legs were shaking.”
The former healthcare plans to spend her money on getting her teeth done in Turkey.
She said: “The luck I have had is unbelievable and feel it’s from my mum up there, it’s the most luck I’ve had since she’s gone, she’s looking down on me.
“I’m going to spoil my kids and I have a grandchild that’s now 12 and a new one coming in three weeks time.
“Years ago I would have got this money and people say you can’t spend that much in that amount of time, but I would have, but now as I’m nearly 50 I’m being more sensible.”
Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson said: “We had a brilliant day in Boughton surprising eight lucky players.
“There was a real community spirit on Manvers View as loads of neighbours gathered to cheer on the winners.
“It’s incredibly special to see neighbours winning together. But local charities in Nottinghamshire also have something to celebrate, thanks to our players.
“People’s Postcode Lottery players have raised more than £1.1 billion for charities and thousands of local good causes.
“Neighbours win and charities win. That’s what we’re all about.”
