The poster said that If someone parks adjacent to her parking place, it could block her in because it is enclosed by a wall either side.
According to her post, her neighbour had been doing this for several years – and she thought it was time to take action.
She started the post by saying: “We knew that if someone was in the bay next to ours, we should just always park elsewhere and use our bay when there was room to drive in.
“For months, he left us aggressive notes demanding we stop using our own bay because he couldn’t fit.
” Instead of parking elsewhere like we would do when he visited, he proceeded to park 1/3 in the bay, deliberately blocking us in and stopping us from leaving our home.
“After two and a half years since this began, I bought a new car. I didn’t want to pay for additional parking/damages, so I used my bay. Of course, I immediately was getting blocked in (at one point, I had to crawl through my boot, take my handbrake off and physically pull the car out of the bay) Enough!
“I parked right down the middle of our two bays and blocked him out of the area entirely.
“When I went to my car, I had notes from him telling me that ‘on behalf of all residents’ (it wasn’t) I need to park elsewhere/move over (so I can be blocked) – it was an attempt to blame me in front of the other cars as an excuse for what he later did – he had parked horizontally in front of my car, blocking all residents from moving.”
The poster feels that all the neighbours are blaming her, but they don’t know the pain she suffered.
So she has since informed her building management company, who have switched the bays to first come, first served.
People were quick to comment on the post.
One said: “You should have immediately taken this issue to your building manager years ago. Especially when it escalated to you being blocked in, which becomes a safety issue.”
Another pointed out: “Park in your spot and only your spot and take it up with building management if anyone else is in your spot.”
This comes after a woman was fed up with her neighbour because they park on their property.
