I was an £11m Premier League flop and left without scoring – now only Cristiano Ronaldo and Mitrovic have more goals

AS prolific as strikers go, not many are as lethal as Georges-Kevin N’Koudou at the moment.

Tottenham fans will remember the Cameroon forward’s struggles in front of goal.

After signing for £11million from Marseille in 2016, he couldn’t hit a barn door – failing to score in 21 matches in domestic football.

His only goal came in a Champions League group match against APOEL in a 3-0 win.

Just three years later, N’Koudou was sold to Besiktas for £4.6million.

But today, the PSG youth star is scoring for fun.

He revitalised his career in Turkey, where he won the league and became a cult hero.

In 2023, N’Koudou joined the Saudi revolution when he signed for Damac on a free transfer.

And he hasn’t looked back.

Incredibly, he has scored 14 goals in 16 league games this season.

Only Cristiano Ronaldo with 20 and Aleksandar Mitrovic on 17 have scored more goals than N’Koudou.

His total is five more than Real Madrid legend Karim Benzema and six more than Riyad Mahrez and Sadio Mane.

N’Koudou’s Spurs career sank without a trace, despite backing from Mauricio Pochettino.

He arrived in a £70million spending spree with Vincent Janssen, Moussa Sissoko and Victor Wanyama.

Manchester United, Liverpool, West Ham and Sevilla were all said to be interested in the forward.

However, a phone call from Pochettino managed to persuade him that his future belonged in North London.

N’Koudou also had a loan spell at Burnley, but he failed to impress and started just two league games in five months.

This month, he has appeared at the Afcon for Cameroon, where he failed to find the net for his country who were eliminated in the last-16 against Nigeria.
