MCDONALD’S fans have found a hack to get free food – and it’s not a con.
The fast food chain is awarding customers freebies for every penny spent through the loyalty points scheme.
The Tiktoker told uses they can claim freebies through the McDonald’s App
All you need to do is sign up to unlock the loyalty points scheme
A money-saving whizz took to TikTok to share the tip to fellow savvy users.
The influencer claimed people can get free McDonald’s items if they download the fast-food giant app.
On the video he said: “McDonald’s is making a big change and you can get free food.”
All you have to do is sign up to the MyMcDonald’s app to earn points and claim free items.
First-time users who order and pay through the McDonald’s App will automatically earn 1,000 free Mcdonald’s rewards points once they join.
You will earn 100 points for every £1 you spend at the chain, and how many points you need to get something for free will depend on the item you want.
That makes each penny worth one point – but you can also exchange your points to make a donation to a charity.
The scheme includes when you order for delivery.
You can get a one-time code, which is available in the ‘code’ section of the app at the start of their order at drive-thru, kiosk or counter to earn points on your order.
When you get 1,500 points you will be entitled to free items – including free small fries, medium salad, regular McCafe, Mini McFlurry, hash brown or a regular drink.
The content creator added: “On the App there are four new items you can get for free with points.
“The Mighty McMuffin, the McSpicy burger, Double quarter pounder and the McCrispy.
“Plus you can also redeem a soft drink, apple pie or a Filet-o-fish.”
Signing up to the My McDonald’s app also gets you access to the latest deals and offers.
Typically you can get things like a Big Mac, McMuffin or Fillet-O-Fish for just 99p.
Here’s the full list of new items added to the rewards scheme and how much you’ll need to earn to get them for free:
Regular cold soft drink – 1,500 points

Filet-o-fish – 4,000 points
