I tried out the VIP Man Utd ‘Seat of Dreams’ – and sat next to a two-time Champions League winner

A SUPPORTER has provided an inside look at how a Manchester United legend joins those lucky enough to win a bid to sit in the Seat of Dreams VIP section at Old Trafford.

The Marriott Bonvoy, an award-winning travel program from Marriott International, announced several months ago that it was offering members multiple opportunities to experience unforgettable moments at United.

They launched, together with Marriott Hotels, an auction for customers to bid on opportunities for exclusive access that included an overnight stay in Old Trafford Stadium and access to visit the pitch.

It is now in its fourth year teaming up with United, and one of the other options available was to experience a game from the snazzy Seat of Dreams.

The Padded Seat YouTube channel was lucky enough to experience that back when United defeated Charlton Athletic on their way to winning the Carabao Cup.

And now they have provided first-hand footage of their experience – including sitting next two a two-time Champions League winner.

A Paul Smith gift bag containing a notepad and matchday programme was waiting for them in the VIP lounge after they accessed the ground.

After tucking into the delicious-looking unlimited food stations available and the free drinks, the supporters enjoyed a Q&A with some former players before they got the team news ahead of kick-off.

Prior to heading out to the stands, they grabbed a free coffee and made the short walk out of the lounge and out into the “pretty special” padded seat waiting for them.

They had paid to watch the game from the Marriott Bonvoy Seat of Dreams, which as you can see from the video, was more of a luxury sofa that appeared to be based above the press box.

HOW TO GET FREE BETS ON FOOTBALL

A table had been placed between the two “very comfy sofas” and it came with two buckets full of complimentary food and drinks, a TV screen for action replays from the match and even a phone charging point.

“And if that wasn’t enough,” our narrator informed us, “you even get to watch the match next to a Manchester United legend.”

At that point ex-United defender Wes Brown appears to give the fan a fist pump as he took his seat next to them.

Brown, who has been declared bankrupt this week, reportedly earned up to £50,000 a week during his spell at Old Trafford.

The versatile defender spent 15 years at United after progressing through the youth ranks.

He later had spells at Sunderland and Blackburn before retiring at Kerala Blasters.

Brown, 43, won 23 England caps between 1999-2010 and lifted the Premier League five times under Sir Alex Ferguson.

He was also part of the 1999 and 2008 Champions League-winning teams and won the FA Cup twice and the League Cup on three occasions.
