In the clip, Andrei is shown smearing a drop of toothpaste onto a rear view mirror before spreading the product out.

What results is a seemingly spotless mirror on the parts where the toothpaste was used.

The cost of a typical tube of toothpaste can retail from upwards of £1 which makes the cost of the method a tiny fraction of this.

People in the comments were equally stunned by the trick, with one woman saying she’s “trying this today”.

Others were quick to add their own creative methods.

“Shaving cream also works. I use it in bathroom mirror,” one man wrote.

Andrei’s hack comes amid a string of similar low cost cleaning tricks.

One mum said she recommends buying bicarbonate of soda which for just 65p from Tesco to clean sports boots.

Another woman revealed her own four-ingredient cleaner that’s made of household products and gets rid of extra grime.
